Fall Trends: Pumpkin-Infused Skincare

Hello beauties,

October is here, which means some of our favorite things are back in season: the beautiful color change, crisp air, spiced lattes, time with family, fall fashion, and pumpkin-inspired...everything?!

Drinks, desserts, candles...the list really does go on and on when it comes to the Autumn season. But, the one bad thing that comes with Fall that is inevitable...DRY SKIN! Ugh! Luckily, I have a solution for you and it starts with pumpkin...

ANTI-AGING BENEFITS
Pumpkin is packed with Vitamin C, and beta-carotene, a Vitamin A derivative. These work together to help soften the skin and boost its collagen production which lessens the signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots. Additionally, Vitamin C and beta-carotene act as antioxidants that reverse UV and free radical damage, which contribute to wrinkles, fine lines, and potentially cancer.

TREATMENT OF ACNE
Pumpkin is full of B vitamins such as niacin, riboflavin, B6 and folate. Niacin improves circulation, which is key in treating acne. Folate helps to improve cell turnover and renewal. Zinc, found in pumpkin seeds, is beneficial in helping to control hormone levels and oil production while assisting the skin's ability to heal. As a final step, vitamin A helps to minimize acne scars.

Pumpkin is also a wonderful source of essential fatty acids and Vitamin E. These are both necessary to maintain protection of the skin, and also help to regulate sebum production.

BRIGHTENS THE SKIN
Pumpkin contains fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover. This naturally and effectively brightens the skin. Additionally, the molecular structure of pumpkin is small and therefore can penetrate deeper into the skin when used topically. This is amazing for treating a dull complexion, aging skin, and hyperpigmentation.

Now that you know all the benefits of pumpkin-infused skincare, isn't it handy that we have a solution? I think so. Indulge in self care and step up your skin care regimen with our Pumpkin Enzyme Masque. I promise you'll feel it working for you, and see results faster than you'd believe...

There's no time like a new month to invest in yourself. Happy October, again, and sending love and healthy vibrations  to all!

Halloween is just around the corner, and even though you probably won’t be attending any large gatherings, you’re still planning to wear an awesome costume for your Instagram photos. Unfortunately, your skin might not love your look as much as you do.

You might think to yourself, but it’s only for one night! While that may be true, is it worth applying a product that will cause a week or two of breakouts afterward? As you get ready to purchase supplies for your costume, take note of the skincare tips listed below to save your face from redness and irritation:

Skin Health 101: Prevention & Treatment for Hyperpigmentation

September 15, 2020

It’s that time of year again: pumpkin lattes, sweaters, falling leaves, and falling temperatures! With all of that comes another unfortunate reality - our summer tans will be fading and the damage it sometimes brings with it will be all that remains.

With that in mind, I wanted to talk a little bit about skin discoloration - or hyperpigmentation - and what you can do to prevent it, treat it, and otherwise keep your skin looking as glorious in October as it did in July.
